Dismissals
I had to let two people go today. Felt like crap to do it. I can see why people say "it's harder for me than it is for you."

The statement is bullshit of course, cause I still have a job and they don't, but still it's not a happy occasion. Not one to be celebrated that's for sure.

Nonetheless, it had to occur. Working with kids who have been victimized is too important. The shelter needs positive energy and light. Employees who are focused on clients and their problems not their own. Employees who find a way to get things done rather than the opposite.

Now... if I can get things done and work out the pay raises that are so desparately needed, deserved, past due, etc...

Meeting tomorrow to continue the dance on that issue...
