What Women (and Men) Want

I'm reading Wild at Heart by John Eldredge.

So far it's a good book describing strategies for Christian men to live life as an adventure of faith. Eldridge encourages men to seek God in the wilderness of life and live the adventures that God puts before us.

Eldridge states that most Christian men seem to be bored, striving to be dutiful and a "nice guy", but somewhere in the process they've lost touch with their true heart. The heart that God wants them to have.

Eldredge proposes "In the heart of every man is a desperate desire for:
(1) a battle to fight,
(2) an adventure to live, and
(3) a beauty to rescue."

Similarly for women, Eldridge relates "Three desires that are essential to a woman's heart...
(1) Every woman yearns to be fought for.
(2) She wants to be more than noticed -- she wants to be wanted or pursued.
(3) Every woman also wants an adventure to share."
(and they don't want the adventure to be the man's pursuit of them, they want to share or join in the adventure.)

So what do you think?

Is this what a man wants? what a woman wants?

Send me an e-mail and let me know.
