Don Surber is blowing some hot air about free and reduced lunches and other federal nutrition programs leading to obesity. He is quick to talk about waste, but I doubt he will be as outraged by this story.
U.S. Can't Account for $100M Spent in Iraq
By my calculations that would pay for over 45 million school lunches ($2.20/lunch), but apparently waste doesn't count when it's in Iraq -- only in America.
The same goes for schools and teachers who have to be accountable for No Child Left Behind, but the Department of Defense and contractors like Halliburton can have open ended contracts with no accountability for performance (or lack thereof).
