Earlier this week, I was accused of "stifling discussion by demonizing critics" of federal nutrition programs by suggesting that their comments would be used to justify cuts in these programs.
Apparently, I was "demonizing" the issue by suggesting that conservatives would cut the program, and did I really think that conservatives would take food out of kids mouths?
Well, as it turns out, the Bush administration is already cutting existing food stamps benefits for some seniors who are using the new Medicare prescription benefit program.

To be fair, this food isn't being taken out of kids mouths as I suggested might be the case.
Instead, it is being taken out of the mouths of senior citizens.
