Say What?

It's been quiet around the old blog lately, but I just had to share my conversation with Carol at lunch today.
Carol: "There's the new Rocky movie."

Jim: "Yeah, it's going up against We Are Marshall. I wonder if it will be any good."

Carol: "I only liked the one with the Russian (Rocky IV) and the one with his son (Rocky V)."

Jim: ::: shaking head and rolling eyes:::
(I've heard this inexlicable statement before.)

Carol: "You don't like my taste in movies?"

Jim: "I just don't understand how you can like the two worst sequels and not the original?"

Carol: "I just do. It's like Star Wars..."

Jim: ::: thinking - don't say it! :::

Carol: "You like the original movies, but I like the other ones better."

Jim: ::: shaking head :::

Jim: "I can't believe you like the new Star Wars movies better than the originals, AND your favorite original episode is the one with the Ewoks..."

Carol: "Well, Scott Hamilton was cuter in that movie, cuter than in the first one."

Jim: "Scott Hamilton is a professional figure skater. Mark Hamill is Luke Skywalker."

Carol: "No, Scott Hamill is the figure skater. He's from Bowling Green."

Jim: "No, Mark Hamill is Luke Skywalker. Scott Hamilton IS the figure skater, and Dorothy Hamill is also a figure skater. None of them was in Star Wars."
FilmGeek, where are you when I need you?

Although if Carol had good taste, she probably never would have accepted my marriage proposal, so I'm not complaining.
