In "honor" of Sen. John McCain's photo-op appearance with the Marshall University football team on Wednesday, I will be joining with other supporters of Sen. Barack Obama at a rally near Marshall Stadium on Wednesday morning at 9:30 a.m.
From an email...
Sen. John McCain will be in Huntington tonight and tomorrow. He has one public event on his schedule – a photo op with the Marshall University football team at 9:40a.m. at the Joan C. Edwards Stadium. In order to assist Sen. Obama and hold Sen. McCain accountable we are going to rally on the corner of 3rd Avenue and 20th Street at 9:30AM. It’s nice that Sen. McCain wants to visit our team, but this is his second trip to state without him talking about the real issues facing West Virginians. Hope you can join us and bring your friends.Derek ScarbroField DirectorWV Democratic Party
For someone who has been so critical of Barack Obama for being too much of a "celebrity", Senator McCain sure seems to enjoy having his photo taken.
I hope you will join with me tomorrow morning and help let Senator McCain know that he should be talking about issues -- not having superficial photo ops and filling the airwaves with negative campaign ads.

UPDATE: If you're in the neighborhood of Pullman Square tomorrow (Wednesday) evening, you're invited to join in an informal brainstorming session with a few fellow Obama supporters.
We're meeting at Uno's at 5:15 p.m. Feel free to stop by and bring along some friends. I'll be the one wearing a Wabi-Sabi hat. :-)
