Some additional VIPs arrived in town yesterday for the Met-Rx World's Strongest Man Competition. The world famous Berenstain Bears family arrived at the airport and then met with children and families at the Strong Families Festival sponsored by Chesapeake Energy and TEAM for WV Children.
The official "spokesbears" of Prevent Child Abuse America say they're having a great time at the festival.
Papa Bear commented, "These guys are doing amazing feats of strength, but the biggest strength we've seen is how much folks in West Virginia care about their children."
Tonight the famous family is spending some time with their long-lost cousins living in other parts of WV, but they will be back at the final event of the competition Sunday evening at WVa Power Park. The Atlas Stones event commences at 7:00 p.m. with the awards presentation immediately following.
I hope you can be there Sunday night to cheer on the competitors and visit with the bears who will be more than happy to pose for pictures and say hello to the children (and young at heart) attending the event. (Who knows, there may even be a Wabi-Sabi sighting while you're there.)
